Tom Groholski

I met Tom a few times when he came to the UK back in the day.
Probably the most modest skateboard pro ever.
East coast skaters are always the coolest, no nonsense.
I asked about him when I went to back to Daytona Beach a few years ago.
Tom still skates and is a UPS delivery man these days.

It was just an excuse to blog some cool bikes coz what do I know?
Numero uno in my fave bikes has to be Jason Jessee‘s Black Tibetan.
This bikes build quality isnt that great but its the overall package,
everyone loves this swazi covered pan.
Not one of these Top ten bikes have I ever seen in the flesh.
I guess it’s just gay internet nerding!

Stevenage 1981

Stevenage Bowes Lyon skatepark was the venue
for our annual ESA prizegiving and customary foodfight.
This place was hell, rough, bad curves, rounded lip-
utter shite!
How we ever managed any tricks in this place I will never know.

Number two in my chopper top ten is Jeremiah and Love Cycles.
The most unlikely looking bike builder,
this guy just seemed to come out of nowhere with some killer builds. Everything the guy touches turns to gold.

Hospital Visit

I have been to see my Shovel
omitted for open heart surgery,
valves, followers and push rods.

Docs say she should pull through
and be discharged in a week!

My mate Martin from Essex does an old style skatezine and he sent me out a freebee.
I love DIY zines they are a throwback to punk rock, sniffing glue mag and 1977.
Skateboarders do them really well. I have dozens of em.
My short lived crappy skatezine was called Rolling Papers!

THR33

Getting near to the top of the stuff I have loved over the last few years.
Max Schaff shovel. Great bars and pipes that tuck behind the frame, vintage steel wheel covers that always rule in my book. The coolest style of Shovel units.
Mr Schaff has it all goin on!

National Motorcycle Museum

I went to our National Motorcycle Museum last week.
It was pretty cool.
When you consider it burnt to the ground 5 years ago losing half of the bikes and
everything had to be rebuilt.
It is an amazing place.

I took some photos that I will post up.
I liked these 1910 bikes.
Almost choppers with back swept bars and leather pimped out seats.
Put on your plus fours and Ride!
